  • Project & Tenders

Sakhalin II LNG export facility reportedly issued a tender to sell eighteen cargoes in total from 2016 to 2018.

The deadline of the tender, that will see the Russian project sell six cargoes each year, could not be confirmed, Reuters reports.

Russian first LNG project is a joint venture between Gazprom (50%), Shell (27.5%), Japan’s Mitsui (12.5) and Mitsubishi Corporation’s unit, Diamond gas that holds a 10% share.

The facility ships LNG to energy markets in Asia-Pacific and west coast of North America.

The LNG plant reached full capacity in 2014 and even exceeded its annual design output by producing more than 10 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas.
