Scorpio Bulkers Agrees Charter Deal for Ultramax Unit

Monaco-based shipowner Scorpio Bulkers has reached an agreement to charter out one of its Ultramax drybulk carriers.

Under the time charter-out agreement with an unaffiliated third party, the company’s SBI Libra was hired at a rate of USD 15,250 per day.

The deal would see the 2017-built unit work for the undisclosed chartered for a period of between five and seven months.

Scorpio Bulkers has an operating fleet of 57 vessels, 56 of which are wholly-owned or finance leased drybulk vessels, while one is a time chartered-in Ultramax vessel.
