Scottish Parliament Committee’s Report Dismisses Donald Trump’s Claims on Wind Farm Impact

Today’s report from the Scottish Government’s Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee said that tourism would not be negatively affected by wind turbines, what dismissed Donald Trump’s claims that offshore wind development would seriously damage Scotland’s financial state by discouraging tourists to visit the country.

Even though, Mr. Trump submitted written evidence to the inquiry and appeared before the Committee, his statement was rejected through the report, which says that there were no witnesses provided to back that claim and that empirical evidence has been  omitted, BusinessGreen writes.

Nevertheless, the Committee recommends to VisitScotland and the Scottish Government to further collect evidence on this matter directly from tourists who visit the country and can voice their opinion about the impact of offshore wind farms.
