SeaBird Secures 100 Days of Backlog for Northern Explorer in South Africa

SeaBird, a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data announced that they have secured approximately 100 days of backlog for the Northern Explorer in South Africa.

The Northern Explorer, a ship equipped with the latest “state of the art” 2D seismic equipment and diesel electric propulsion, is set to begin work before the end of the week.

The contracts have an estimated value of USD 8.5 million.

The vessel joined SeaBird’s fleet for operation in March 2005 after a complete refit in Poland.
