To remind, SeaBird received a letter of award for a 3D survey in Asia in early January. The contract was set to begin at the end of the first quarter and to be wrapped up during the second quarter.

In conjunction with the LOA, SeaBird also entered into a frame agreement with the customer, under which further work may be awarded to SeaBird.

SeaBird Exploration said on Thursday that the start of the OBN work under the new contract was set for April 2020.

The company added that the contract would entail the use of the Voyager Explorer seismic vessel and that the bareboat charter for the vessel would, therefore, be extended.

The seismic company also said that the new contract had an expected duration of about five months.
