Seatronics Launches Rio de Janeiro Office (Brazil)

Seatronics Ltd, an Acteon company, has completed the start-up phase of its new office, workshop and warehouse facility in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The new base will support Seatronics Ltd’s activities such as sales, rental, engineering and cable molding. Staff at the new facility will handle the complete range of Seatronics Ltd equipment including inspection class remotely operated vehicles (ROV), cables and connectors.

This development is an important business milestone for Seatronics Ltd, part of Acteon’s marine electronics, instrumentation and survey business. The company’s clients value the benefits of having a strategic partner such as Seatronics Ltd based in Brazil and one that can provide full commercial, engineering and technical service support in-country.

The opening of the new facility coincides with the appointment of Fabio D’Agostino as Seatronics Ltd vice president in Brazil. D’Agostino takes charge of operations in Brazil and aims to develop a strong and sustainable business for Seatronics Ltd in Brazil.

“Brazil is a vitally important area for our survey and ROV clients. The new facility will enhance our options for providing products and services to all our Brazilian and international customers,” said D’Agostino. “This will help to consolidate our position as the leading marine technology company in the subsea services market.”
