Shell Deploys Wave Rider Buoy at Corrib Gas Field Offshore Ireland

The Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport has been advised by Shell E&P Ireland Limited that, to help predict sea conditions for the laying of an offshore umbilical later this year, the “M/V Nomad” will be deploying a wave rider buoy in early April, weather permitting, in 38m water depth.

The wave rider buoy will be installed at Corrib gas field and will be remaining on site for approximately 3 to 5 months.

All vessels are requested to give the wave buoy a wide berth.
