Shell, Gunvor likely winners of PSO’s two 60 LNG cargo tenders

Pakistan State Oil company could soon name the two winners of its LNG supply tenders issued at the beginning of November, seeking 60 cargoes each.

According to the original tender documents, PSO was looking for the delivery of one cargo per month starting in 2016 through 2020 to the Engro Elengy operated FSRU Exquisite located at the Port Qasim, Karachi.

Reuters, citing sources, on Wednesday reported that the likely winners of the two tenders are Royal Dutch Shell and the trading house Gunvor.

Both, Shell and Gunvor submitted the lowest offers of 13.83 percent and 13.37 percent of the price of a barrel of crude oil, respectively.

PSO sought cargoes of up to 140,185 cbm in volume delivered on a DES (ex-ship) basis.

The tender, that had the December 9 deadline for bid submissions attracted a lot of interest and the official award confirmation is expected in two weeks.
