Shemen to Spud Yam 3 Well by Week’s End (Israel)

Atwood Beacon rig is expected to arrive at a drilling location in the East Mediterranean tomorrow, globes.co.il has reported.

Upon arrival the rig will start drilling on Yam 3 prospect, operated by Shemen Oil and Gas resources. The well is located at the Shemen/387 license, off the coast of Palmachim, Israel.

The Israeli financial news portal further informs that the drilling operations on the prospect are expected to kick off on November 25.

The independent leg cantilever Jack up rig, owned by Atwood Oceanics, is on a $151.ooo per day contract, which expires in April 2013.
