Singapore: Geo Natuna Wins Fugro ‘Top Notch Award for 2011’

Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Limited (SPO) announces the receipt of Fugro’s “Top Notch Award for 2011” for the performance of its 6-streamer 3D seismic survey vessel, Geo Natuna.

The award was introduced by Fugro Geoteam two years ago to recognise the vessel with the lowest downtime in their fleet. The scheme’s objective is to highlight and improve safety and operational efficiency through avoiding equipment accidents and achieving low, consistent and predictable technical downtime.

The ceremony was held in Singapore on 1 February 2012 and award presented by Arthur Hadland, Operations Manager of Fugro Geoteam for Eastern Hemisphere, to Captain Sherman Dadwall of SPO, and Party Chief, Robin Shepherd, of Fugro. Mr Hadland highlighted the resilience and commendable attitutde of Geo Natuna’s marine and seismic crews on challenging shallow water prospects in Egypt and India, stating, “This award reflects the hard work of all crew members”. Captain Dadwall responded, “it has all been about working as a team”, raising the vessel’s unofficial motto, “One Natuna One Family” as reflection of this.
