Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF), a major player in deepwater, subsea and construction related activities, entered into agreement to sell two vessels to international buyers.

Solstad is selling its construction support vessel (CSV) “Normand Tonjer” and an anchor handling vessel (AHTS) “Nor Sun”. The delivery of the vessels to new owners is planned for this week.

The sale of the two vessels will have a positive cash effect for SOFF of approximately NOK 87 million and with a booked gain of approximately NOK 35 million.

“Normand Tonjer” is a multipurpose ROV, survey & air diving support vessel with a length of 80.77 m. The vessel is permanently equipped with a state-of-the-art 150 HP Triton XLX Workclass ROV system.

It is permanently mobilized with dual DGPS, dual online navigation, online sensor acquisition and offline processing and reporting packages.

An Air Diving System can be deployed on the vessel to carry out IMCA compliant air diving work down to 50 m.

Nor Sun

“Nor Sun” is an AHTS vessel built in 2006 by Jaya Shipbuilding & Engineering – Singapore. The vessel has a length of 70.05 m and it is classified by DNV.

It is equipped with a deck crane, AH Winch, Tow / Work Winch and has the capacity to accommodate up to 54 persons.
