Solstad Offshore in long-term charter for construction support vessel

Norway’s Solstad Offshore has won a four-year contract extension with Subsea 7 for the construction support vessel Normand Subsea.

The duration of the contract is now firm until 31.12.2023 plus two yearly options.

Normand Subsea, a versatile offshore vessel, that has been on contract to Subsea 7 since 2009.

Lars Peder Solstad, CEO of Solstad Offshore: “We are very pleased with being awarded this new contract with one of our key clients, Subsea 7.”

He said the contract extension was another evidence that the subsea maintenance activity is gradually starting to pick up again.

The vessel will support Subsea 7’s new contract with BP’s North Sea region portfolio of assets West of Shetland and Northern North Sea.
