Solstad Offshore secures gigs for three vessels

Solstad Offshore ASA, a Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company, has entered into charter agreements for three of its vessels. 

Solstad entered into agreement with Chevron North Sea Limited for hire of the platform supply vessel (PSV), the Normand Flipper.

The vessel was hired for a firm period of about 15 months with charterer’s option to extend the contract with further 3 x 6 months. The contract is scheduled to start around October 1, 2015.

“The commercial terms are confidential between the parties, but are in line with present rate level for long term PSV-contracts,” Solstad said.

Solstad Offshore has also entered into agreement with undisclosed clients for the anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessel, the NOR Spring, and construction support vessel (CSV), the Normand Baltic. These agreements represents a firm duration of 210 days plus options.

The beginning of the NOR Spring charter is September 2015, while the contract start for the Normand Baltic is in 2Q 2016 in continuation of existing charter agreement.

Solstad said that the commercial terms are confidential between the parties.
