Sonatrach said in its statement that the agreements consolidate the long-term partnership between the two companies.

Under the agreement, Sonatrach will deliver volumes of natural gas through the Transmediterranean pipeline while liquefied natural gas volumes will be delivered mostly to the Fos Tonkin LNG terminal.

Sonatrach added that the agreements secure an outlet for Algerian natural gas in the market, which, according to the company, in the current context of increased competition between the various sources of supply, one of the most rewarding markets.
