Spain - PAV, Beluda Work Together to Improve Resolution of Emergency Situations

Boluda Towage and Salvage works with the Port Authority of Valencia in improving the resolution of emergency situations. The activity was carried out in a joint action with Valencia Bombers.

The Port Authority of Valencia has organized a visit of all staff, assigned to the fire station, to various maritime facilities and vessels moored in the enclave “so they can learn firsthand the scenarios and their particular difficulties and improvement area signs to reduce risks and facilitate the resolution of emergencies,” explained the Emergency Centre of the PAV.

Manuel Hernandez, head of base Boluda Towage and Salvage in Valencia, and a tugboat crew were responsible for carrying out various demonstrations of water jets creating shields and offering attendees the necessary technical information on pumps and fire systems capacity, bilge pumps and fittings. The aim is to resolve any technical issues that may arise on both sides or more precisely to cooperate closely in cases of emergency.
