Florida’s Port Everglades broke its own world record with a preliminary count of more than 54,700 cruise guests sailing in and out of the port in a single day, according to the Broward County’s officials. This is the second time in this cruise season for the port to set the record, taking into account the previous one set in December 2015 with 53,485 passengers.

The port hosted eight cruise ship on March 13 including Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Conquest, Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Silhouette, Holland America Line’s Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam, Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess and Royal Princess, and Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas.

If lined up bow to stern, the eight cruises would stretch 8,245 feet, what equals nearly 27 football fields.
