Sri Lanka-Maldives Cable Repair Progresses as Planned, Says Dhiraagu

Dhiraagu announces that the submarine cable repair work is progressing as planned.

On 28 April the submarine cable ship ASEAN Explorer removed the damaged part and replaced it with a new cable section.

Joining the new section to Sri Lanka and Maldives ends of the cable was completed successfully.

Yesterday the company reported that the damaged part of the cable has been completely replaced with a new cable section.

Engineers are now conducting end-to-end connectivity tests and once all the tests are completed, services will be fully restored.
