Steel Cutting Ceremony Held for Axis' Accommodation Unit (China)

Axis Offshore celebrated steel cutting according to the construction schedule with Cosco on 28th February 2013 for its first semi-submersible accommodation unit.

The Axis Offshore site team manager, Magnus Olsson, congratulated the yard project manager, Wang Jianqiang, on the planned progress made by Cosco.

The new accommodation vessel, worth over $200 million, is ordered by Axis Offshore to target the strong demand for modern units to operate in the harsh environment in the North Sea, especially in the Norwegian and UK sector with emphasis on high safety standards and comfortable solutions for offshore accommodation.

The rig is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2015.
