Stinger Awarded Statoil Test Pilot for Gina Krog
Statoil has awarded a test pilot for the performance of periodic structural ROV inspections using equipment developed by Stinger for mini ROV inspections offshore Norway.
The contract is for Gina Krog periodic structural ROV inspection, the company noted.
All the operations will be performed from the platform without any support vessels.
The contract will combine the use of existing proprietary MSS ROV technology in combination with equipment developed especially for this this application.
