Port of Tallinn is playing host to an international seminar on the topic of the development of LNG infrastructure in the Baltic sea ports.

The venue chosen is Muuga Harbour, and the starting date for the seminar is September 25th, 2014.

The seminar topics shall include:

  • New LNG terminals in Estonia and Finland – what will be the impact on the distribution of LNG in the region?
  • Will the LNG small scale bunkering network in the Baltic be developed?
  • LNG distribution and shipowners – what is the latest?

“LNG in Baltic Sea Ports” forms part of the Motorways of the Sea project co-financed by the EU TEN-T Multi-Annual Programme and offers a possibility of adapting to the new SECA content limits.

The initiative aims to foster a harmonised approach towards LNG bunker filling infrastructure in the Baltic Sea area and seven ports are involved in the project: Aarhus, Copenhagen-Malmö, Helsingborg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn and Turku.
