The NH 1816 (classified in the Damen vessel range as SAR 1906) has been developed in close collaboration with the KNRM, Delft University of Technology and De Vries Lentsch Naval Architects.

Both the capsizing test and the comparison with the KNRM’s current Arie Visser Class (another proven, all-weather SAR from the KRNM) showed great results. The official delivery ceremony will take place in April. Meanwhile, both Damen and its partners will continue testing from both a practical and an R&D point of view.
