The Netherlands: Jongert Books Orders for Two New Motor Yachts

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2011, Jongert has brought in two orders for new motor yachts: a 44-metre MY and a 43-metre MY. Besides these two new orders, the shipyard has another two motor yachts under construction: a Jongert LE 500 and the 41-metre yacht that was begun last year.

The 44-metre yacht has been designed by Dubois Naval Architecture, this is a project off broker Alex Krykanyuk and this yacht is intended for a respected customer. Both yachts will be delivered in 2013, more news about these projects will follow in the coming months. While Jongert was still looking for a clear direction at last year’s show, the two new orders ensured that the yard was well on course this time round, back where it belongs at the top of the superyacht industry. Everything was in place at the show, including interpreters, transport over the water for clients, refreshments and even a smart photo shoot.

Solid organisation

Peter Versluis, the director of the VeKa Group (the organisation to which Jongert belongs) was also present in Monaco. His presence was very much appreciated, and many of our business relations took the opportunity to meet him. The fact that Jongert is part of a multinational maritime group offers our clients a guarantee of stability and reliability. The VeKa Group is active in virtually every maritime sector and has shipyards in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Romania, the Ukraine, Bulgaria, China and Serbia. Thanks to mutual cooperation, we have virtually no limits. Semi-customized and fully customized yachts measuring up to 135 m [443 ft] in length can be built at one of the facilities.

New designs for 2011

Jongert recently presented two new designs: the Jongert 500 LE, an exclusive motor yacht of 50 metres in length, and the 3000 M, a yacht of over thirty metres in length with exceptional sailing qualities. The initial reactions to the new designs were very positive. Of course, the existing designs remain available and have even been restyled. “We’ll do everything in our power to make our customers’ dreams come true”, says Eel Kant. “Jongert will continue to chart new courses well into the future.”

New branch in France

To provide even better service to its international clientele, Jongert International has established a branch in Antibes in the south of France. The office will be run by Niels Lensen, a Dutchman who has been living and working in France for a long time and is thoroughly familiar with the international yacht sector.

Fort Lauderdale

Jongert will have its own stand at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The event will take place from Thursday 27th to Monday 31st October at Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
