Vard Holdings Limited announced that it has secured a contract with a new customer, Harkand Group, for the design and construction of one Diving Support and Construction Vessel.

As American offshore wind industry readies to start building large projects, developers are searching for a way around the so called “Jones Act” from 1920.

3. Odfjell’s Rig Sinks at Korean Yard

On 28 December 2013, the semisubmersible “Deepsea Aberdeen”, currently under construction at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea, experienced water ingress on pontoon while moored at the yard’s quay.

Hilong Holding Limited announced that Hilong Marine Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group, will acquire an underwater pipe-lay barge from Zhenhua ZHPL3 Limited at a purchase price of US$163.6 million.
