Total LNG sales drop 1 pct

Oil and Gas giant Total said its LNG sales in 2014 dropped 1 percent to 12.15 million tonnes compared to the year before.

Total sold 3.06 million tonnes of LNG in the fourth quarter of 2014, down 10 percent on year.

The company said in a report on Thursday that its adjusted net income was 12,837 M$, compared to 14,292 M$ in 2013.

Total is one of the many oil and gas companies hit by the oil slump. According to the French giant, the average Brent price decreased by 9 percent to 99.0 $/b in 2014 when compared to the year before.

Brent dropped sharply in the second half, from about 110 $/b to less than 60 $/b by December 31.
