Trawler 'Atlantic Viking' Departs Tersan Shipyard

Tersan Shipyard recently delivered state-of-the-art stern trawler ‘Atlantic Viking’ to Norwegian owner Giske Havfiske AS.

The vessel of Skipsteknisk ST-116L design is the fourth out of five vessels that the yard is building for Norwegian owners. The first three trawlers Havbryn, Havstrand and Volstad were delivered to Strand Fiskelsrap, Strand Havfiske and Volstad AS earlier this year.

The vessel is designed and purpose-built for the following duties:

  • Bottom and mid-water trawling with single and twin gear
  • On-board processing and freezing of catch
  • Efficient operation in ice and arctic waters
