Two charter extensions for Island Offshore

Island Offshore, a Norwegian shipping company, has secured contract extension for two of its vessels.

According to Island Offshore, one extension is for the Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Island Champion with Team Marine, and the other one is for semi-submersible crane vessel (SSCV) Ocean Intervention III, with Oceaneering International.

The PSV Island Champion has been on contract with Team Marine since 2007. Team Marine declared its first of five yearly options to use Island Champion in 2012 and the second one in 2013.

The vessel was sold and leased back in December 2014, thus it is still operated by Island Offshore.

The company has also executed a one year contract extension for a SSCV Ocean Intervention III which is performing subsea inspection, maintenance and repair work in Angola, and has been in service for Oceaneering since 2007.

“We are very pleased with this extension and look forward to continue the good cooperation with Oceaneering in the year to come,” says Managing Director in Island Offshore, Håvard Ulstein.
