U.S. imported three LNG cargoes in July

The U.S. imported three liquefied natural gas cargoes or 7.1 Bcf in July, according to the Department of Energy data.

All of the LNG imports in July were shipped from Trinidad’s liquefaction plant in Point Fortin and delivered to the Everett import terminal in Massachusetts, the data said.

One cargo of the chilled gas was exported from the ConocoPhillips-operated LNG plant in Kenai, Alaska. The spot cargo was delivered onboard the 135,000 cbm Excel to the world’s largest LNG importer, Japan.

The U.S. imports of liquefied natural gas reached 52.6 Bcf or 20 cargoes in the January-July period, the data showed.
