U.S. offshore rig count down to 20 units

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. decreased by three units last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +4 to 1,067 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last week to 1,067, with oil rigs up 4 to 873, gas rigs up 1 to 194, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

U.S. Rig Count is up 154 rigs from last year’s count of 913, with oil rigs up 137, gas rigs up 17, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 3 rigs to 20 and unchanged at 20 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -4 to 191 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 191, with oil rigs down 4 to 123 and gas rigs unchanged at 68.

Canada Rig Count is down 11 rigs from last year’s count of 202, with oil rigs up 16 and gas rigs down 27.
