U.S. weekly offshore rig count rises to 17 units

 The number of U.S. offshore rigs rose to 17 active units during this past week, according to the weekly rig count report issued on Friday by Baker Hughes.


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -4 to 1,044 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 1,044, with oil rigs down 2 to 859, gas rigs down 3 to 183, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 90 rigs from last year’s count of 954, with oil rigs up 94, gas rigs down 6, and miscellaneous rigs up 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 rig to 17 and unchanged at 17 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada 0 at 223 rigs

Canada Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 223 rigs, with oil rigs down 2 to 152 and gas rigs up 2 to 71.

Canada Rig Count is up 6 rigs from last year’s count of 217, with oil rigs up 28 and gas rigs down 22.
