UGL awarded maintenance services job at APLNG

UGL said that is has been awarded a new four-year contract with ConocoPhillips on behalf of Australia Pacific LNG providing downstream maintenance, shutdown and modification project services for the operational phase of the Curtis Island LNG facility.

The contract is expected to generate multi-million dollar revenue over the initial term, the company said in a statement.

APLNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips, Origin and Sinopec. The liquefied natural gas facility on Curtis Island, off Gladstone will receive and process natural gas to LNG for export. First LNG exports are expected in mid-2015. UGL is expected to commence mobilisation of its workforce in the first quarter of the 2015 calendar year.
