UK books more Qatari LNG

South Hook LNG terminal in the UK is scheduled to receive another cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar next week.

Data from the Milford Haven Port Authority reveals that the 266,000 Rasheeda LNG carrier is set to dock at the South Hook terminal’s jetty on April 11.

The Q-Max vessel, built by Samsung Heavy Industries in 2010, has last year commissioned its gas burning ME-GI engine.

This will be the third cargo delivered to the terminal located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway in the first 11 days of April.

One of Europe’s largest LNG import terminals, South Hook is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total. The terminal is able to process 15.6 million tons of LNG per year.
