UK: Cape nets more North Sea work with Perenco

Cape plc, an international provider of industrial services to the energy and natural resources sectors, has been awarded an extension and expansion of its current contract with Perenco in the UK.

Cape said on Wednesday that, under this framework agreement, the company will provide multi-discipline industrial and support services across a number of Perenco assets in the Southern sector of the North Sea until September 30, 2017.

Commenting on the contract award, Simon Hicks, Managing Director for UK, said: “We are delighted to increase our service offering and continue our valued working relationship with Perenco, who we have worked with for a number of years. We remain focused on operational excellence in the delivery of all our services.”

In the North Sea, Perenco is the operator of a large number of offshore gas fields including: Leman, Indefatigable, Thames, Trent and Tyne (and their associated satellite fields), the Cleeton fields (including Wollaston, Whittle, Ravenspurn North, Ravenspurn South), the West Sole stream fields (including West Sole, Hyde, Hoton, Newsham) and the Amethyst field.

Perenco’s gas production in the North Sea is around 72 000 boepd. The company has been operating in the UK Southern North Sea basin since 2003.
