UK Industry Body Highlights Opportunities at AOG 2018 Subsea Forum

Australasian Oil & Gas (AOG) in conjunction with Subsea UK, the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) and Subsea Energy Australia (SEA) are seeking abstract submissions for presentations to be considered for the AOG 2018 Subsea Forum, as part of the AOG Conference.

AOG 2018 returns again to Perth, Australia and will feature an exhibition in addition to conference content that should give attendees an opportunity to learn about the latest developments that are happening in the oil and gas industry, both in Australia and across the world.

The Subsea Forum which will again be held over three days on the exhibition floor of AOG 2018, provides a gathering platform for subsea professionals in Australia.

Under the theme “Positioning for Growth” the AOG 2018 Subsea Forum will explore how Australia’s industry will ready itself for the next wave of projects.

Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK said: “It’s important that UK companies take full advantage of these opportunities, casting their nets further than the North Sea to explore ways of exporting their technology and expertise. As the industry body for the UK subsea sector, we will be representing our members at the event and looking at ways in which we can help them develop business in the Australasian market.

“Almost 1,000 subsea professionals attended the Subsea Forum conference sessions in 2017 and with a range of new initiatives planned for AOG 2018 we are expecting another successful event.”

In addition to the usual range of subsea topics, The AOG Subsea Conference Committee is seeking both technical and commercial submissions on the following topics:

• Preparing Australia’s Subsea Industry for the next wave;

• Local and Emerging Markets Update;

• Predictive Inspection, Maintenance and Data Analytics;

• Riserless Light Well Intervention;

• Autonomous Inspection and Operations.
