UK: KD Marine Adds Members to Its Staff

KD Marine announced additions to their team on all sides of the business.

Due to internal changes within KD Marine it was deemed necessary to strengthen the company with appointments in key positions.

This saw the appointment of Linda Alves as Contracts Manager who comes to KD Marine after working for local authority as a Category Manager. Linda brings 12 years experience in contracts and will use that knowledge and understanding to look after KD Marine and their clients.

Another recruitment Claire Waldie joins as a Personnel Logistics Co-ordinator. Claire will be looking after KD Marine’s offshore personnel and will be the focal point for them within the office. She has managed to fit in perfectly to her new position at KD Marine, having previously worked in an operations administration function.

Mark Beadie has come in to fill the newly created position of Business Development Manager and will also deal with KD Marine’s PR and marketing. Mark graduated from Robert Gordon University last year with an Honours Degree in Communication with PR and spent the beginning of this year working for a drilling company within their training department, after having spells in temporary communication/PR roles with Scottish Rugby and Fifth Ring.

Within the workshop Mick Swinburne is taking a vast amount of experience into his role of Workshop Supervisor. Before joining KD Marine Mick was a Submariner for 21 years and also worked as an Engineering and Factory Manager for 12 years, while more recently he had spent time as a Maintenance Manager for timber company and as an Engineering Manager for 5 Malt (whiskey and beer) production factories. Mick also spent 3 months volunteering in Malawi building 21 kitchens to help feed 48,000 children.

Hamish Petersen, Managing Director, talked about the new appointments: “We are delighted to be able to bring in new faces to KD Marine, these appointments have allowed us to strengthen the company in key areas and will see the company continue to expand and grow, we are also still looking to recruit in certain areas, as we still have a need for a HSQE Co-ordinator at the moment.”

In addition to these new recruitments KD Marine is also currently developing a new website that will enhance the company’s current assets and unique selling points.
