UK: MMS Performs Extensive Repairs on Seismic Vessel Fairfield New Venture

The Fairfield Industries owned deep water seismic vessel Fairfield New Venture was dry docked at MMS for extensive repairs and refurbishment. The vessels main, generator and compressor engines were completely overhauled.

New ballast lines were installed throughout the vessel. Modifications were carried out to the exhaust pipe work system.

The full accommodation area including galley and mess room was upgraded. Finally the vessel was shot blasted and re-coated from keep to mast.

Now, the vessel is now fully compliant with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) standards for operating in the UK.
