UK set for Qatari LNG cargo

One of the world’s largest LNG tankers in the world, the 266,000 cbm Mozah, is scheduled to arrive at the UK’s South Hook import terminal next week.

The Q-Max vessel, carrying a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar, is expected to arrive at one of Europe’s biggest LNG receiving terminals on August 11.

The tanker is currently located in the Mediterranean Sea, shipping data shows.

Mozah is 345m long – equivalent to three and a half football pitches, and the vessels engines produce the same power as 590 Mini cars or 900 Smart cars, according to Shell’s website.
