UK: WilHunter Repaired. Still no Drilling

Further to the stock exchange announcement of 31st January, 2012, when Awilco Drilling PLC reported that the WilHunter rig had incurred technical downtime, the company confirms that the outstanding repair work on the rig was completed on the 31st of January.

Drilling activity has not however been able to re-commence due to well operational difficulties and adverse weather.

The rig is under contract with MPX Energy Ltd on the Orlando well, Block 3/3b in the UKCS, as part of the SPD multi-well multi-client programme

WilHunter is one of Awilco Drilling’s two Enhanced Pacesetter semi-submersibles and is equipped for drilling in water depths up to 1,500 ft.
