Ulstein Verft Welcomes New Managing Director

Kristian Sætre has been appointed managing director of Norway’s Ulstein Verft. He will take the position by 1 June 2013.

Kristian Sætre has a solid background and 30 years’ experience from the maritime industry. He has worked in Scana for more than twenty years, most recently as managing director for Scana Propulsion AS. He has also held a number of board positions in the Scana group. Sætre is a chartered engineer from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). He resides in Volda, Norway.

“We are pleased to announce that Kristian Sætre will be joining ULSTEIN. He has a broad industrial and technical background and experience from many different areas in the maritime industry. ULSTEIN is a family-owned company comprising a range of marine enterprises within design and solutions, shipbuilding, power and control, global sales and shipping. They offer ship design packages and solutions for offshore support and heavy offshore vessels.
