The MOL Comfort incident that occurred yesterday, June 17, 2013, has taken serious proportions. Namely, MOL-operated containership, after reported crack amidships, has broken into two.

MOL Comfort, an 8,000 TEU containership, was en route from Singapore to Jeddah carrying a cargo of 4,500 containers when its hull broke and the vessel started taking in water in the hold.
