USA: CCAN Organizes Citizen’s Forum on Clean and Harmful Energy Battle

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network is going to promote the citizen’s forum on a battle between clean and harmful energy,on Thursday at Notre Dame College,reports Htr News.

The environmental group is considering realization of offshore wind projects in Baltimore,andalso self-identifying against expanding natural gas operations in Maryland.

Lawmakers are considering benefits from both options. General opinion is that drilling can boost western Maryland’s economy.

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is the first grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Their mission is to build and mobilize a powerful grassroots movement in this unique region that surrounds nation’s capital to call for state, national and international policies that will put country on a path to climate stability.
