Corps Prepares Houston Ship Channel Dredging Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, has introduced a plan for the dredging program on the Houston Ship Channel.

This action requires earthwork and dewatering of the dredged material placement area. This work also consists of providing materials, equipment, and labor for excavating and shaping material in order to promote drainage of placement area. The completion time for this project is approximately 90 calendar days after the date of acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed.

The order of magnitude for this effort is between $1 million and $5 million.
