USA: FMC Technologies Elects Eleazar de Carvalho Filho to Its Board of Directors


FMC Technologies, Inc. announced the election of Eleazar de Carvalho Filho to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Carvalho is a founding partner of Iposeira Capital, established in 2003 as an independent advisory and asset management company, as well as Virtus BR Partners. In 2006, Mr. Carvalho was appointed as the non-executive Chairman of BHP Billiton Brazil. Mr. Carvalho has served as the Chief Executive Officer for Unibanco Investment Bank and was formally the President and Managing Director of the Brazilian National Development Bank. He also served on the Board of Directors of Petrobras and Vale.

Mr. Carvalho is currently President of the Board of Trustees of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and is also a member of the Chairman’s International Advisory Council of the Americas Society.

Born in Sao Paulo, Mr. Carvalho holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics from New York University.
