The work scope includes maintenance and troubleshooting for the offshore substation, monopiles and transition pieces, as well as subsea inspections and operation of an 24/7 offshore control centre.

Applications for the tender can be sent until 14 May.

The Veja Mate offshore wind farm is located some 95 kilometres North-West of the Borkum island in the German Exclusive Economic Zone. It comprises 67 Siemens 6 MW wind turbines, which can together produce 1.6 billion kWh of electricity per year, enough to meet the demand of 450,000 German households every year.

The project was commissioned in May 2017 and has been operated by Veja Mate Offshore Project GmbH. In 2019, a consortium composed of funds managed by Commerz Real, wpd invest, KGAL, and the Ingka Group acquired an 80 per cent stake in the 402 MW offshore wind farm.
