Cemre Shipyard Launches Lewek Inspector's Hull

Cemre Shipyard in Altinova, Turkey held a launching ceremony for the hull of the “Lewek Inspector” Diving Support Vessel on 13th of April 2013. Lewek Inspector will now head to Norway for final outfitting at Havyard’s Leirvik yard. The scheduled time of arrival is in mid-May.

The construction of the vessel was ordered by Forland Shipping from Havyard Group last year.

Managing Director Arne Magnus Johnsen split the silk ribbon with an axe, the champagne was released, and the ship glided graciously into the sea.

“One of our best, if not the best launching ever,” said Site Manager Reidar Storli from Havyard. “Forland Shipping is grateful to Cemre Shipyard and its workers that have delivered according to our expectations and in time. This is a great and moving moment for all of us,” said Arne Magnus Johnsen.

The 110.00 m long and 22.00 m wide vessel is hired by Singapore’s EMAS AMC for five years. The estimated value of the contract is $120 million and it is intended to enter into force in August 2013.
