VIDEO: Ocean Infinity SeaWorker ASVs on Sea Trials

The final sea trials of the SeaWorker autonomous vessels have taken place in the Solent before mobilisation to Ocean Infinity’s mothership, the Seabed Constructor.

Ocean Infinity will use the ASVs for positioning and monitoring of the HUGIN 6000 autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) as part of wide area, high resolution surveys.

The six autonomous vessels have been designed and built by the ASV Global team in Portchester.

Build of two additional autonomous vessels is said to be well underway. These additions to the fleet will be used as auxiliary rapid response vehicles.

Ocean Infinity’s survey system will have autonomous vehicle fleet of eight AUV’s and eight USV’s. The autonomous vehicles will use InfinityView, a mission planning software, for individual missions allowing for simultaneous operations while in the water.
