VIDEO: Subsea 7’s Seven Oceans Pipelay Vessel

The Seven Oceans is a pipelay vessel with an advanced reeled pipelay system, capable of rigid and flexible pipelay, in water depths up to 3,000m.

The vessel is fitted with one 3,500 tonne main deck mounted storage and deployment reel. An optional 250t piggy back reel can be fitted as required. The main reel can stow products from 6-inch to 16-inches in diameter. The lay ramp system comprises of an aligner wheel, pipe straightener, tensioner of 400/450t (tensioner emergency holding load of 500t), hold back clamp, (600t) roller box. 1 x 450t and 1 x 80t abandonment and recovery winches are provided.

The vessel is also fitted with two permanently installed side launching workclass ROV systems rated to 3,000 metres. It can be fitted with an additional workclass and observation class ROV on deck mounted A-frames. The survey suite include a current profiler, multibeam echo sounder and heading reference system.
