WSP Holdings’ director resigns

WSP Holdings Limited, a Chinese manufacturer of API and non-API seamless casing, tubing and drill pipes used in oil and natural gas exploration, drilling and extraction, and other pipes and connectors, has announced that Badrul Feisal bin Abdul Rahim tendered his resignation from the board of directors of the Company effective June 30, 2014.

The resignation is in line with the internal decision of the UMW Group to relieve Badrul Feisal of some of the directorships held by him in order to encourage the effectiveness and efficiency in the directorships that he still holds.

Badrul Feisal has over 18 years of professional experience, including expertise in the capital markets, accounting and as a senior corporate executive. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Missouri, Columbia in the United States.

WSP Holdings develops and manufactures seamless Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), including seamless casing, tubing and drill pipes used for onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration, drilling and extraction, and other pipes and connectors. Founded as WSP China in 1999, the Company offers a wide range of API and non-API seamless OCTG products, including products that are used in extreme drilling and extraction conditions. The Company’s products are used in China’s major oilfields and are exported to oil producing regions throughout the world.
