Sanfu Shipyard Floats Out Bulk Carrier Indus Triumph

In the afternoon of June 16, vessel No. 3 which is a 92.500 DWT Bulk Carrier being built for Indian owner was successfully launched into water and shifted to the outfitting quay of the Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co. This is the first PSPC compliant vessel ever built in the yard.

In order to guarantee the vessel to be launched into water as per the scheduled date, concerned departments and workshops seized this good opportunity for shipbuilding, strictly followed production schedule and actively enhanced their communication with class surveyors and owner representatives. The status of the vessel before launching was substantially improved compared with her two sister vessels.

The vessel is designed as an ocean going single screw diesel driven single side skin bulk carrier, suitable for normal worldwide service carrying dry bulk cargo. The cargo area (seven cargo holds), is constructed as single side skin with topside tanks and hopper-side double bottom. The ship is designed and built according to the rules requirements and under survey of the ABS and the Class Notation to be A1 OE,Bulk Carrier,BC-A(Holds Nos.2,4&6 may be empty,No.4 may be ballast hold),CSR,,SafeShip-CM,ESP,GRAB(20t),AMS,ACCU.
