Nisshin Shipping Disposes of Panamax Bulker

Japanese shipping company Nisshin Shipping has sold Epson Trader, a Panamax bulk carrier, to an unnamed buyer from Greece, VesselsValue’s data shows.

The 82,700 dwt ship, previously known as Nord Hercules, was acquired for USD 10.8 million.

Market value of Epson Trader currently stands at USD 10.05 million, according to VesselsValue.

Featuring a length of 229 meters and a width of 32.3 meters, the bulker was built by Japan-based shipbuilder Tadotsu Tsuneishi in 2007.

Apart from the sold bulk carrier, Nisshin Shipping’s fleet is currently comprised of 61 vessels with a total size of more than 4 million dwt.

In mid-November, VesselsValue informed that Nisshin Shipping sold three 84,000 dwt Panamax bulk carriers to Greek shipping company Transmed Shipping for USD 16.75 million each.

The ships in question are the Mangan Trader 1, the Mangan Trader 2 and The Mangan Trader 3.

All three vessels were built by South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) in 2013.
