Fri Sea Pulled Free after Grounding off Scotland

General cargo vessel Fri Sea that ran aground off Scottish coast on Saturday has been refloated with the help of a tug, the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) informed.

The ship, operated by Norwegian Kopervik Group,  was pulled from at 19.52 on Sunday evening and was safely moved alongside her intended berth at Clyde Boyd Corpach, the coastguard said.

The 91 metre cargo vessel went aground at high water during docking manoeuvres at Corpach, close to Fort William. The vessel was due to collect a load of timber before it got grounded.

There were no injuries and no signs of pollution reported.

The crew remained on board the vessel.
